SMOKIN’ WATER

An image I capture a few weeks back. Have been thinking back and forth about what to do about it. Have been ok happy with the leading lines and the colours in it, but struggle big time with nothing happens in the sky. Normally a dead sky mean no image for a lot of those more professional, I guess? Maybe a waste of time, but then there is that sunlit mist, and I just couldn't ditch the composition just because the sky just had one cloud.

After I started shooting with a full frame sensor I've tried to get all in one frame, no bracketing as the dynamic range give me a lot more light to work on. I really like that as I don't have to struggle with moving straws and branches, and get a much cleaner image to work with in post.

The feelings for this image has turned more towards like than dislike, as I feel that empty sky works together with the reflection and give a much cleaner and calmer image for the eyes to see.

So, based on my change of heart I wanted to share it, I like it and that's the reason I was up at 4 in the morning to get the morning mist. Why shouldn't that be a reason enough to let you guys and girls be a part of the joy I had with my camera?
